20 Karat Gold F1 produces very attractive, round fruits weighing approximately 7–9 kg. The fruits are deep orange and very uniform. The stems of this variety are strong and stable, and the plants grow semi-compact, meaning they produce few vines.
20 Karat Gold F1 has resistance to powdery mildew (PMT), which means that powdery mildew attack occurs later.
Suitable for carving, painting and as a decorative pumpkin, but can also be used as a soup pumpkin.
Maturation period: 90–95 days.
20 Karat Gold F1 ranks moderately and grows semi-compact.
C. pepo grows well in warm, well-drained soil, with pre-cultivation and planting out by sowing from late April, or by direct sowing from early May.
Optimal germination temperature: 24–30°C. Sow with the pointed end of the seed facing down or lay it flat. Don't keep the seed too moist. After germination, place it in a bright, cool place.
For 20 Karat Gold F1 we recommend 2 m² per plant.
Possible pests: snails, birds, mice, aphids, mildew, viruses.
