Lunga di Napoli is an excellent eating pumpkin, solid flesh, dark orange and very firm.
For cultivation in Central Europe, pre-cultivation is recommended to ensure maximum harvesting of fully ripe fruits.

Cucurbita moschata requires a lot of warmth and is therefore best grown early. Varieties with a ripening time of up to 110 days also thrive in colder regions.
Optimal germination occurs at 24-30°C. When sowing, place the pointed end of the seed downward or flatten it. Do not keep the seed too moist. After germination, place it in a bright, cool location.
The planting distance for pumpkins depends on the tendril behaviour.
