If you like Long Island Cheese, you'll love Ibiza.
Ibiza produces very attractive, slightly more ribbed fruits of approximately 3 kg, making it an ideal butternut squash. The flesh is fantastic.
Ibiza's origins are in the island that gives it its name, and we are pleased to offer this breed exclusively after selection.
Maturation time: 105 days.
Climbing behaviour: climbing, with a need for approx. 2 m² per plant.
Cucurbita moschata needs a lot of warmth and is therefore best sown early. Varieties with a maturation time of up to 110 days also do well in cooler regions.
Optimal germination: 24–30°C. When sowing, hold the pointed end of the seed downward or lay it flat. Do not keep the seed too moist. After germination, place it in a bright, cooler location.
The planting distance for pumpkins depends on the tendril behaviour.
Possible pests: snails, birds, mice, aphids, mildew, viruses.
