Excellent gray Kuri.
Sombra F1 is an excellent, small representative of the Grays and Crowns , which are among the best pumpkins in the world.
Sombra F1 weighs only about 1.5–2 kg. This variety grows very healthily and is resistant to stress, and can be stored for an exceptionally long time – up to 5 months.
Formerly also known as Winter Sweet F1.
Maturation time: 95 days.
Rank behaviour: moderately strong.
This variety grows well in warm, well-drained soils.
Pre-sow and plant by sowing from the end of April or direct sowing from the beginning of May.
Optimal germination occurs at 24–30°C. When sowing, hold the pointed end of the seed downward or lay it flat. Do not keep the seed too moist. After germination, place it in a bright, cool location.
For Sombra F1 we recommend 1–2 m² per plant.
Possible pests: snails, birds, mice, aphids, mildew, viruses.
