Mini version of the Red Turban.
Mini Red Turban bears fruit about 10–15 cm in diameter. The caps are pure white. Their attractive small size makes them very popular as ornamental plants.
The red color, which does not occur in “real ornamental pumpkins”, and the small size also make them so popular.
Maturation time: 105 days.
Rank behaviour: moderately climbing.
This variety grows well in warm, well-drained soils.
Pre-sow and plant by sowing from the end of April or direct sowing from the beginning of May.
Optimal germination occurs at 24–30°C. When sowing, hold the pointed end of the seed downward or lay it flat. Do not keep the seed too moist. After germination, place it in a bright, cool location.
The planting distance for pumpkins depends on the tendril behaviour.
Possible pests: snails, birds, mice, aphids, mildew, viruses.
