A virus-resistant variety of South American origin that has been bred in the US for over 10 years.
The orange-pink fruits are gracefully ribbed; the 3 to 5 kg size is ideal for decoration.
The fruit shape is not yet completely uniform, varying from rounded to elongated.
The pulp is suitable for cooking, but the quality does not come close to that of high-quality pumpkins.
Maturation time: 95 days.
Orange Bulldog normally has a strong ranking.
This variety grows well in warm, well-drained soils.
Pre-cultivation and planting out by sowing from the end of April or direct sowing from the beginning of May.
Optimal germination occurs at 24–30°C. When sowing, place the pointed end of the seed downward or flatten it. Do not keep the seed too moist. After germination, place it in a bright, cool location.
For Orange Bulldog we recommend 1–2 square meters per plant.
Possible pests: snails, birds, mice, aphids, powdery mildew, viruses.
