Golden Pumpkin is a very nice specialty, sent to us by a pumpkin lover.
The origin of this very uniform, well-proportioned and highly productive variety lies in Asia.
Really beautiful, light red fruits of around 800–1000 grams.
Maturation period: 90–95 days.
Golden Pumpkin has a moderate growth habit.
This variety grows well in warm, well-drained soils.
Pre-cultivation and planting out by sowing from the end of April or direct sowing from the beginning of May.
Optimal germination occurs at 24–30°C. When sowing, place the pointed end of the seed downward or flatten it. Do not keep the seed too moist. After germination, place it in a bright, cool location.
For Golden Pumpkin we recommend approximately 2–3 m² per plant.
Possible pests: snails, birds, mice, aphids, powdery mildew, viruses.
