Beautiful variety with a diameter of 10–12 cm and fruits from 200 g, good eating pumpkin.
When grown with lean crops, the smaller fruits are popular as ornamental plants because of their attractive reddish color. A real mass-producer thanks to its bushy shape and the formation of up to 15 fruits per plant.
Maturation time: 90 days.
Golden Nugget grows as a shrub.
This variety grows well in warm, well-drained soils.
Pre-cultivation and planting out by sowing from the end of April or direct sowing from the beginning of May.
Optimal germination occurs at 24–30°C. When sowing, place the pointed end of the seed downward or flatten it. Do not keep the seed too moist. After germination, place it in a bright, cool location.
The planting distance for pumpkins depends on the tendril behaviour.
Possible pests: snails, birds, mice, aphids, powdery mildew, viruses.
