Very uniform, medium sized Turkish hat selection.
Fungo is a very uniform, medium-sized variety of the Turkish muts (bishop's hat). When you turn the berries, they look like mushrooms in the forest. With a weight of about 1.5 kg and a diameter of around 15 cm, Fungo is a good size.
This variety is highly productive and grows moderately vigorously. It's largely unknown that the Turkish muts has good flesh quality.
Maturation time: 90 days.
Fungo grows normally.
This variety grows well in warm, well-drained soils.
Pre-cultivation and planting out by sowing from the end of April or direct sowing from the beginning of May.
Optimal germination occurs at 24–30°C. When sowing, place the pointed end of the seed downward or flatten it. Do not keep the seed too moist. After germination, place it in a bright, cool location.
For Fungo we recommend 2 m² per plant.
Possible pests: snails, birds, mice, aphids, powdery mildew, viruses.
