Petit Gris de Rennes is a smaller, sweet variety that ripens safely in our Central European climate.
Maturation time: approx. 85 days.
Melons grow moderately and need about 1-2 square meters per plant.
Melons love a mulch film.
In a nice, warm summer, the pulp contains more sugar than in a cold summer.
The seeds can be sown indoors from early April at 24-28°C, directly with 1-2 seeds per small pot (do not keep the pots too damp), or outdoors from mid-May in a warm location. Harvesting takes place in warm locations from early August.
Possible pests: aphids, mice, mildew.
