Small, green-fleshed sugar melon.
Model is a medium-early, small sugar melon of about 500–600 g with fine, sweet and juicy flesh.
Thanks to its relatively compact growth and good tolerance to mildew, Model is very suitable for protected cultivation.
Outdoors, melons should only be grown in the warmest, south-facing locations to ensure a good harvest.
Melons grow moderately and need about 1–2 square meters per plant.
Melons do well on mulch film.
In a nice, warm summer, the pulp contains more sugar than in a cold summer.
The seeds can be sown indoors from early April at 24–28°C, directly with 1–2 seeds in the small pot (do not keep the pots too damp), or outdoors from mid-May in a warm location. Harvest in warm locations takes place from early August.
Possible pests: aphids, mice, mildew.
