Crocosmia Star of the East

Crocosmia Star of the East is a special modern Montbretia that stands out for its exceptionally large and graceful flowers. This variety produces beautiful apricot-colored flowers with a diameter of up to approximately 10 cm. Thanks to the large flower size and the warm, soft color, Star of the East is a real eye-catcher in the summer garden. Flowering begins around mid-summer, when the elegant flower stalks provide a colorful accent in borders and flowerbeds.

The large flowers grow in dense, predominantly one-sided clusters on long, sturdy stems. This characteristic growth habit gives Crocosmia Star of the East an elegant and natural appearance. The fresh, bright green foliage is long and sword-shaped, resembling gladiolus leaves. The leaves form a beautiful contrast with the warm apricot tones of the flowers.

Special Crocosmia with large flowers

For best shelf life, the flower stems can be harvested when approximately 50% of the flowers have opened. The remaining buds can then continue to bloom in the vase.
