Sweet watermelon with few seeds and yellow flesh

Primagold F1 is a new variety with yellow flesh.

The sugar content is around 11–12%, which makes the fruits very tasty even in Central European conditions.

The green-striped fruits in the crimson type weigh only about 3 kg and are therefore handy.

Another advantage of this variety is the small number of seeds.

The success of the cultivation and the sugar content of the fruit depend on warmth and sun. Melons need a warm location.

The plants grow moderately and require 1–2 m² per plant. Mulch is recommended.
In a warm summer, the flesh contains more sugar than in a cool summer.

Sowing instructions: sow indoors from early April at 24–28 °C, directly 1–2 seeds per pot (do not keep the pots too moist), or outdoors from mid-May in a warm place.

Possible pests: aphids, mice, mildew, downy mildew and viral diseases.
