Small, early, sweet, yellow watermelon.
A fairly early and easy to handle watermelon weighing 2–4 kg, with yellow flesh and excellent flavour.
It has a high Brix value, which positively influences the flavor. It contains few seeds, but is not entirely seedless. A reliable variety with excellent ratings from test crops.
Cultivation success and sugar content depend on warmth and sunshine. Melons need a warm location.
The plants grow moderately and require approximately 1–2 m² per plant. Mulch is recommended.
In a warm summer the pulp contains more sugar than in a cool summer.
Sowing instructions: Sow indoors from early April at 24–28 °C, directly with 1–2 seeds per pot (do not keep the pots too moist), or outdoors from mid-May in a warm place.
Possible pests: aphids, mice, mildew, downy mildew and viral diseases.
