Description

This generously sized imperial cornflower is a beautiful annual plant. The flower resembles a common cornflower, but has a wonderfully sweet fragrance. This scent is particularly attractive to butterflies, bees, and other beneficial insects.

As a member of the same Centaurea family as cornflowers, they are creamy white and pinkish-red XL varieties: larger flowers, much stronger, less tangled stems and even clearer pineapple-like markings on the flower buds.

It lasts wonderfully long in a vase and exudes a soft, sweet fragrance. The only drawback is that the plant doesn't do well with wet feet or prolonged, warm rain. But in normal, not gloomy early summers, it's an absolute gem!
