Carthamus Kinko is a beautiful, striking variety with bright orange flowers and dark green leaves.
Kinko has sturdy, well-branched stems that grow 80 to 100 cm long.
It can be sown both indoors and outdoors, thanks to its good weather tolerance. For outdoor cultivation, it is recommended to grow it under a tunnel.
Sowing can be done consecutively from late winter to late summer, for a long harvest period from early summer to mid autumn.
The selected plants are very uniform in plant structure and flowering time.
Cultivation period: 10 to 14 weeks, depending on sowing time.
Kinko combines excellently with Carthamus White Grenade and Zanzibar , although Kinko and White Grenade will flower slightly earlier than Zanzibar.
This versatile Carthamus is suitable for fresh and dried bouquets, and can also be harvested green at an earlier stage.
Height: 90 cm (36″).
