Ultra-hot red Habanero chili.
Red Habanero produces red, trapezoidal fruits with extremely high spiciness. Handle with care.
Origin: Mexican Yucatan Peninsula. Fruits are about 4 cm long.
The plant can be overwintered in a cool, bright place and will fruit earlier the following year. Suitable as a container plant.
Peppers require warmth. Best location: full sun facing south or in a foil greenhouse.
Keep soil evenly moist but not waterlogged. Fertilize regularly and use humus-rich, nutrient-rich soil.
Sowing: early January to early March at 20–25 °C indoors with warm pre-culture. Plant out in greenhouse or outdoors from mid-May at 50 x 50 cm spacing. Harvest from late June depending on cultivation.
Peppers are frost-sensitive.
Height: 60–80 cm outdoors, taller in greenhouse.
