Early, slightly spicy pepper.
Rokita is an early, very tasty outdoor pepper with a slightly sharp taste.
The ripe, dark red fruits grow to about 15 cm long and are ideal as a snack or in salads.
The plants are vigorous and preferably need support.
This early variety can be grown well outdoors, but of course also does very well in a greenhouse.
Bell peppers/chillies need warmth. Best location: full sun in a south-facing position or in a plastic greenhouse.
Keep the soil evenly moist, but not too wet. Fertilize regularly and use humus-rich, nutrient-rich soil.
Sow from early January to early March at 20–25°C, using a warm sowing indoors. Transplant in a greenhouse or outdoors from mid-May at a spacing of 50 x 50 cm. Depending on the cultivation method, harvest from late June.
Peppers are sensitive to frost.
Height outside approx. 80 cm, higher in the greenhouse.
