Violetta is a thick-walled bell pepper with three color variations. The fruits, weighing approximately 250g, ripen from purple to green and finally to red.
As the fruits ripen, they become milder and sweeter in taste.
When grown well in warm locations, this pepper is suitable for outdoor cultivation, but it grows best in a greenhouse.
Sow from February to March at 22–24°C, transplant from mid-May at a spacing of 40 x 60 cm. Harvest from July to early October.
Keep the soil evenly moist, but not too wet. Fertilize regularly and use humus-rich, nutrient-rich soil. Bell peppers need warmth. Best location: full sun in a south-facing position or in a polytunnel.
Peppers are sensitive to frost.
Height outside approx. 60–70 cm, higher in the greenhouse.
