As the name suggests, the flowers form in tight clusters (glomerules) at the tips of the stems or in leaf axils. The flowers are bell-shaped and a rich violet-blue color.
The plant is branched at the base and blooms throughout the summer.
Grows well in full sun to partial shade. Prefers well-drained soil with average fertility; tolerates various soil types, including sandy or clay-rich soil.
