Attractive, red and mild Chinese cabbage.
A special feature of Chinese cabbage is this red variety.
In terms of cultivation, this variety differs little from the green types and grows best when planted from late April to late August at daytime temperatures above 16°C.
Scansie F1 has a mild flavor and, like green Chinese cabbage, can be prepared in various ways. Its red color is particularly attractive in mixed salads.
Harvest takes place approximately 70–75 days after planting out, 90 days after sowing.
Sowing takes place from March with pre-sowing or as direct sowing from April to the end of July, planting distance: 40 x 40 cm.
Chinese cabbage is a heavy eater and must be supplied with sufficient nutrients.
