A tried-and-true, robust sprouting broccoli. It forms only a very small terminal inflorescence of about 10 cm in diameter.
The plant produces numerous side shoots with small inflorescences that can be harvested continuously. This ensures a long harvest period.
Grows best in late summer/autumn, with harvest starting in October and a long harvest period.
Pruning (cutting back) the main growth encourages more lateral flower heads, which, like all cabbage varieties, require nutrients.
Sow seeds from early July using pre-sowing; plant outdoors approximately four weeks after sowing at a distance of 40 x 50 cm. Direct sowing is also possible.
Stem broccoli is a heavy eater and must be supplied with sufficient nutrients.
