A tried and tested, robust broccoli with the advantage that not all plants flower at the same time, as is often the case with some hybrid varieties.
Calabrese spreads more here, so you can always harvest something over a period of 2–4 weeks.
Like all cabbage varieties, broccoli prefers nutrient-rich, well-drained soil without waterlogging.
Sowing takes place from April to the end of July with pre-sowing, then plant out at a distance of 50 x 40–50 cm.
The harvest takes place from June to the end of November, depending on the sowing date.
Broccoli is one of the heavy eaters and must be supplied with sufficient nutrients.
