Description

For mixed salads and wok dishes.

Wasabina is an Asian salad specialty with a unique flavor sensation. It's slightly sweet yet spicy. The leaves, shaped like lettuce, can be harvested practically anytime. The first harvest usually occurs after four weeks. The plants can be harvested multiple times.

The seeds are sown directly in a cold frame starting in February, and then thinly in rows outdoors from late March to early September. Row spacing: 10–15 cm. The optimal germination temperature is between 15 and 20°C. Harvesting takes place approximately four weeks after sowing, either continuously or multiple times if the rosette is protected.

Our tip: young leaves are delicious in salads, the older and stronger leaves are suitable for stir-fry dishes or steaming.
