Annual herb with high ornamental value.
It has grey-green, hairy leaves and produces striking, star-shaped blue flowers with a white centre from late spring to early autumn.
The flowers and leaves are edible and are often used in salads, drinks and as decoration, while the plant also attracts bees and other pollinators.
Sowing: April to July as direct sowing outdoors. Place 2–3 seeds per spot, spaced 25 x 30 cm apart. Germination time: approximately 15–25 days at 10–20°C.
Harvest time: continuously from late May to October.
