A broad-stemmed, white Swiss chard that is primarily used as stem chard.
Besides the stems, which are prepared in the same way as kohlrabi, the strong green leaves can also be prepared like spinach. White Silver 2 is very productive.
Sow directly outdoors from early July, with 2–3 seeds spaced 30 x 40 cm apart. Pre-sowing indoors and transplanting is also possible. Harvest period: approximately 8–10 weeks after sowing.
Swiss chard needs a good nutritional supply.
