Arava F1 is a Galia melon with white to light green flesh, which has proven itself over many years and under various growing conditions.

The flesh is very aromatic and sweet. Arava is therefore considered the top choice among Galia melons.

Galia melons are a cross between the Honeydew and Cantaloupe groups.

Arava also performs well under organic growing conditions and is resistant to powdery mildew.

Fully ripe fruits are yellow and fall from the plant, making them easy to identify.

Melons grow moderately and need about 1–2 square meters per plant.

Melons do well on a mulch sheet.

In a nice, warm summer, the pulp contains more sugar than in a cold summer.

The seeds can be sown indoors from early April at 24–28°C, directly with 1–2 seeds in the small pot (do not keep the pots too damp), or outdoors from mid-May in a warm location. Harvest in warm locations takes place from mid-July.
