Description

A selection of Allium vineale, known as crow's or dog's garlic.

This striking ornamental onion stands out for its unique inflorescence: a greenish-red flower head from which jagged, hair-like spikes emerge. The bulbs are initially adorned with a greenish "punk" hairstyle. As the flower matures, the grayish-brown drooping filaments form a kind of Methuselah beard. A true exotic.

A real eye-catcher in borders and rock gardens, but also beautiful as a unique cut flower. Growing to approximately 60–80 cm tall, 'Hair' adds an airy structure and a playful touch to any garden, but is especially effective as a cut flower in bouquets.

Long shelf life.
