The name “daslook” refers to wild animals such as badgers, which enjoy eating the plant after their hibernation.

Under favorable conditions, the plant naturalizes easily and can quickly spread into large carpets of fresh green foliage and white flowers. This makes wild garlic highly suitable for natural woodland gardens and stinzen plantings.
