Red, hardy spring onion
Red Toga is a red representative of the well-known, frost-hardy winter chives. The spicy stems can be harvested in summer, autumn, and winter. Delicious in salads and all dishes that use onions.
Spring onions can be grown as an annual or perennial; when grown as a perennial, the stems are usually cut off.
The seeds are sown directly outdoors in rows from early March to mid-July, approximately 1 cm apart and 25 cm between rows. Harvesting takes place continuously from around early May.
