Red leek and pearl onion.
Apache can be harvested early as a spring onion or as a pearl or small onion if left to grow longer. Spring onions are sown slightly closer together and can be harvested approximately 6–8 weeks after sowing.
For harvesting as pearl onions or table onions, the plants are planted about 5 cm apart. Apache can be used like spring onions with foliage, and its red color adds a special touch to your dishes.
Sowing: Sow thinly in rows directly outdoors from early March to late June. Depending on the sowing season, harvest takes place from early June to October.
