Intense dark red, mildly aromatic onion.
Karmen is a dark red specialty. These mid-early to mid-late, slightly flattened onions are intensely red both inside and out. Karmen keeps very well, weighing approximately 110 grams. From seed to harvest, it takes approximately 120–130 days.
Sow directly outdoors in rows from February to April. Approximately 8–10 cm apart, with 25–30 cm between rows.
Fully ripe onions are harvested from early/mid August.
