Versatile onion specialty
Borettana is a flattened onion specialty, approximately 4 cm in size, with a mild, sweet taste.
Suitable as a whole onion for barbecues, skewers, or pickling. The golden-colored onions are also ideal for braiding onion stems.
Sow directly outdoors in rows from February to April. Approximately 6 cm apart, with 25–30 cm between rows.
The harvest takes place from early August to September.
